Helping Our Employees
Adopt Children
Huffman &
Carpenter, Inc. believes strongly that the best type of investment
is that of human capital. Supporting children and providing a positive
environment for them to learn and grow in is of the up-most importance
to the future of all people. Therefore, Huffman & Carpenter, Inc.
has instituted a program to help employees who wish to adopt a child.
Requirements:

Employee is a
full time employee.

Employee has
completed 3 years of full time employment (see employee manual).

Adoption expenses
must be "qualifying adoption expenses" under the Small Business Job
Protection Act Signed into Public Law 107-16 on June 7, 2001. Such
expenses are described in Internal Revenue Service Publication 968
entitled "Tax Benefits for Adoption", which is available from the
company's chief financial officer.

Reimbursement of
adoption expenses is limited to $10,000.00 per employee. This policy
will be revised by the Board of Directors and may be revised as the
federal polices change.
