Huffman & Carpenter, Inc. is dedicated to
preserving and enhancing the natural water resources of the world. One the
best ways to accomplish this is through public awareness programs. Public
awareness can be generated through educational projects that distribute general
information out to people and by continuing research to expand the knowledge
base. For example, by creating a Stream Environment Zones classification
system Huffman & Carpenter, Inc. has provided a way to provide much faster and more
recognized restoration project objectives.
Clients also have a vested interest in continuing to
promote awareness of natural resources and how to conserve them. Sometimes
they are required to create a public awareness program in order to obtain a
permit or funding that they are seeking. Other times, these types of
programs can provide a valuable source of advertising and public recognition of
the company's place in the community. On a grander scale, the better the
public treats our natural resources, the less prohibitive government mitigation
demands on businesses will have to be.
Natural resources in general add a quality to life that
very few other products can offer. The scenic backdrop provided by our
mountains inspires our artists, the countless beautiful woodland trails provide
hours of recreation and promote physical health, and many varieties of animals
ignite our children's imaginations and provide them countless learning
experiences. Water holds as extra special place among resources, as it is
the basis of life itself. The more that we as a society understand about
our water resources, the better we can protect this scarce resource.
